2005 Maxi 3 Hour

The area map below shows both the recommended route (as per instruction sheet - this route is bitumen right up to the site entry) and an alternate route - a little shorter but requiring a little travel on well-made dirt roads. The start location planned is 1 Km NE of the black cross-hair surrounded by a red circle (a trig point?) on the map below. Instructions for the alternate route are:

As you proceed uphill out of Malmsbury, take the road on the left. The road required is the second road on the right - with the T-junction being adjacent to a large mullock heap. Proceed West towards Vaughan Springs - taking care on the steep section and on the dirt roads - entry to the site is 1-2 km East of Vaughan Springs at the top of the hill just above the river crossing. This entry point will be well signposted - with the familiar red and white O-signs.
